Reading.

So you should probably know that I love reading. Since I am so busy with school and track I havent had a lot of time lately to pursue that love. But after finals this past week I couldnt stand it anymore and I drove to my local library to get some books. I came across this one:

Sarah Dessen is one of my favorite authors seeing as I am a sucker for love. Her books depict such wonderfully real relationships that seem so fantastic and harmonious. I hope to find a boy like Dave someday. (That is the main character in my book). So anyways, as I was reading, so enthralled in the story, something sad happened in the plot. I couldnt help myself. I started crying. I cried for the characters. I cried for my love of books. And I cried because the story reminded me of experiences in my life. And you know what? Crying felt good. I have missed being so connected with a book. Its so relaxing to forget about your entanglements in life and just live as someone else for a time.

carpe diem.

so. as of late i have been aching for new things to do. literally aching. so i decided i wanted to try something new every week as a new years resolution. this is how it has gone so far!

1. ate my entire lunch with chopsticks. it was so freaking hard! i thought i would be able to handle it, but boy. that was difficult. i ended up stabbing most of my food but hey, it got the job done.

2. i visited AMOCA. (american museum of ceramic art). it was such a splendid adventure! as some of you may know, i am an artist. i live and breathe art. whether it is making it or admiring it. so visiting this museum was a dream come true! also, i agreed to send in pictures of my work to see if i could sell in their museum store! hopefully that goes well //

3. I wore a Macklemore-worthy fur vest to school. Probs gained some haters that day but whats not to love about a lil wild fur?!

4. Last but not least, I tried the apple pecan salad from Wendy's for lunch. It was heavenly! They did throw in a little blue cheese which i was not the biggest fan of // but overall it was spectacular!

cheers to doing new things!
