P A L O S V E R D E S

So this saturday my family and I decided we wanted to go on an adventure. It was a gorgeous day with no clouds in the sky so we immediately thought of going somewhere by the beach or in nature. So we decided to do both!

We decided to go to the South Coast Botanical Gardens & then drive along the cliffs to see the magical coastline. ♡ Also we were able to drive by the area where my dad proposed to my mom. Sooo romantic.

So lets start off with the botanical gardens. We paid our fees which were $6 for students and $8 for adults and entered the enchanted gardens. And talk about beauty. This garden was gorgeous! Many of the summer flowers were not blooming but those which were bloomed spectacularly. Also they had huge expanses of trees which created a jungle scene which in my heart is pure bliss. Climbing trees is one of my absolute favorite things so (even though it was probably prohibited) I climbed like mad! I love the warm breeze that whips around my hair as I ascend further and further up. The feeling as you look down and see how far you have gone is oh so rewarding. Plus being a lover of heights makes it all the more intriguing.

{D&C 59:18-19}
18 Yea, all things which come of the earth, in the season thereof, are made for the benefit and the use of man, both to please the eye and to gladden the heart;
19 Yea, for food and for raiment, for taste and for smell, to strengthen the body and to enliven the soul.

Hometown how I love you.

salty toes.
hair flapping in the breeze.
tall, skinny palm trees.
waves crashing onto the sparking sand.
These are just a few of the reasons that I absolutely adore my home in seal beach, california. It took me a while to accept my love for socal but finally this year I realized there is nowhere I would rather be. ♡

Pondering.

I had an claustrophobic / headache prob today at church so now I am sitting in the car trying to get a grip on myself. They used expo marker in the young womens room and that just set me off...I feel sick like crazy. So anyways, I need to reflect on my life. Its just one of those moments. Yesterday when I was talking to my mom I almost started crying because I was so distraught over what to do. I dont know what school I want to attend or what track team to be a part of and I feel so lost. Just when I think about what to do and I get an idea of what I want it seems to suddenly change. For example, my WHOLE life I wanted to go to utah for college.  Now all the sudden I dont really. I mean what is that about?! I just dont know. I want to go to byu hawaii but they dont have a track team. Ahhhh. I just need some time to think. But im here to tell all of you that the fact that we can think about it is spectacular. I have a hard time picking which college when some people couldnt even afford any college. I am so blessed so enough pity party time. Be grateful for the freedom and ability to think and choose. Because that is a beautiful thing.

Seoul, Korea.

Yesterday was a BIG day in the bandley home. Christian got his mission call! We all made our guesses and then urged him to open it. He opened it and read that he would be serving in the KOREA SEOUL MISSION! Ahhhh! I could have never expected that. His mission covers the northern part of south korea all the way up to the border to north korea! Ahhhhh! It is so insane that none of us even thought for a second about Korea!

Congrats christian! ♡
